General updates
- Thank you everyone for voting in the Community Council election. The results have been announced here. Election observer report coming soon.
- Panama Gathering 2022 working group is working on financial support for those who applied; figuring out swag; and looking into whether we can obtain a hotel group discount.
- Regional Event awardees/organisers, please remember to post updates about your event!
- Collaborative Development grant round 2 is coming soon!
- July 2022 newsletter is coming soon!
Agenda item - How does old council plan on transferring power to new council?
- Discussed a plan for transitioning between councils. Noted that because of so many different time zones, transitioning asynchronously is best. Three important things that need to be transferred include 1) knowledge (of what the past council has done and its processes), 2) communication channels, and 3) structure of our meetings (method and frequency)
- Noted that next week in place of our regular meeting next week, we will meet and work together to draft a document in the form of a table listing all the roles of council members and action items for a smooth and orderly transfer of power.
