Many of you will know that we have been working for some time OpenFlexure Microscope project with the aim of increasing across to medical microscopy across the world. My company in Tanzania (Bongo Tech and Research Labs) is excited to be on track to be the first manufacturer of a medical OpenFlexure. We are already registered as medical devices manufacturer with the Tanzanian Medical Devices Authority.
If we are creating a digital microscope there, we are also going to be creating a lot of data. Before we can bring a device to market, there is a need to understand the cybersecurity aspects of selling and supporting a digital diagnostic device for clinics. To help us learn about these issues am starting a Masters program on Cybersecurity and Digital Forensic at Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology.
