Research Support Technician - Instrumentation & 3D Printing (part-time, fixed-term role)

The Bath Open Instrumentation Group which develops the OpenFlexure Microscope is hiring a technician. The group is a quite unique and really fun place to work. We are inside a Physics department, but have a lab which is more like a shed full of 3D printers and work benches (we also have a more normal lab). We develop microscopes, optical fibre aligning stages, and a number of other tools to share with the department and the wider scientific community.

The group is growing fast, it was just @rbowman and me this time last year. There are now two more post-docs and a PhD student, taking us to 5 members. This role is to take on maintenance of the lab, production of equipment, and help out with the design of new open-source equipment.
