In the frame of an EU-funded project on Open Source Hardware that will start shortly, we (me and the University of Bath) are looking for a post-doctoral researcher in the field of product development and data science. The position is open for three years, starting date asap. The application deadline is 6th of August.
The project will be quite exciting and focuses on company-community collaboration on the development of open hardware in the consumer product sector. We are an interdisciplinary consortium of 19 research centers and companies over 7 countries. The overall funding envelope is almost 6M€.
Within this project, our role will be to analyse success factors of online collaborative product development of open hardware by mining information in OSH project repositories. We will be involved as well in other research activities of the project.
So, if you have a PhD and are interested in OSH, design science and data science, this job is for you!
