After our great success at FOSSasia with our hardware booth, taking much admiration of it’s diversity and … it’s hardware! so there is “stuff” on our table
We made good contact with the co-organizers of indiaFOSS and many other communities from India. We have registered for a community booth at their event, happening just a week before our Gathering in Kathmandu. So we can do this as kinda trailer / teaser for longer term visibility in the most populous and active open source country with its tech hum in Bengaluru.
Who wants to join?
Either you can extend your trip before heading to kathmandu (flights can be less than 400usd from blr to ktm), but visa are a bit more challenging in india and needs to be done ahead for most.
Or head up by train? ca 48 hours…

I try my best to get there before GOSH… still need to figure out my schedule.

But feel free to send me stickers, handouts, STL files for printing, or if you are not too far aways, the REAL hardware into my luggage departing from Switzerland.
Hello @dusjagr, I take it you are looking for open source hardware for your booth. Are you interested in a 3D printed micromanipulator?
I released a previous version a while ago ( Thingiverse - The community for Open Hardware ) but i’ve been re-working on it and i will release an improved version with a switchable magnetic base and a few other improvements in the weeks to come. If you are interested i can give you the new version files (only the documentation still needs works).

The design uses 2 or 3 mm rods to ensure the parts slide one on another. There are two versions of the files depending on the rod diameter. 3mm is best as it makes the assembly more rigid/reliable
Besides the rods you will need 12x 12mm wide 3mm thick cylindrical magnets, 12mm wide washers (paramagnetic so NOT stainless), 3x 55mm long M3 bolts, 8x 12-15mm M3 bolts with nuts and 40mm long 7mm OD 0.5 to 0.7mm wire diameter springs.
I’m writing a new guide but its not ready yet, feel free to ask if you need advices. The files print best on a printer with a clearance of about 0.15mm
