GOSH community goes indiaFOSS, Bengaluru, 25-26. September - Who wants to join the booth?

After our great success at FOSSasia with our hardware booth, taking much admiration of it’s diversity and … it’s hardware! so there is “stuff” on our table

We made good contact with the co-organizers of indiaFOSS and many other communities from India. We have registered for a community booth at their event, happening just a week before our Gathering in Kathmandu. So we can do this as kinda trailer / teaser for longer term visibility in the most populous and active open source country with its tech hum in Bengaluru.

Who wants to join?

Either you can extend your trip before heading to kathmandu (flights can be less than 400usd from blr to ktm), but visa are a bit more challenging in india and needs to be done ahead for most.
Or head up by train? ca 48 hours…

Or from the region?

I try my best to get there before GOSH… still need to figure out my schedule.

I won’t be attending, but if someone’s going via/from Mumbai, I have some FreeCAD stickers to peddle.

You’re probably looking at business or return tickets for flight. As I see it, one way tickets are closer to 200USD.

That estimate was only till a nearby city within India. All the way to KTM, you’re looking at 12-16 more hours.

You could also split the difference and fly to an airport within India for <100USD and take an onward bus (or series of buses)

E-visas may be easier if they are possible. E-visas for Nepal as well may save time at entry.
