Additional clarification
A quick clarification regarding candidate nominations, as I have been asked about this a few times. The council members whose seats are up for election are eligible to be nominated and run again for a council seat. Below is the text from the governance plan which explains this:
"All elected Community Council members shall serve for at most 2 consecutive terms, regardless of term length. No one can serve more than 2 consecutive terms on the council. A partial term counts as a full one.
As an example, all those elected to the initial Community Council will be eligible to run for reelection one time, but if reelected for a second term, they will not be able to run for a third consecutive Community Council term. After being off the Community Council for one term, former members would be eligible to run for election again."
I believe the vote isn’t happening yet.
