Who wants to replicate? Diffraction Limited's "Open Source Motorized XYZ Micro-Manipulator - Affordable sub µm Motion Control"

Hi all!

Some of us in Argentina want to replicate this: GitHub - 0x23/MicroManipulatorStepper: A sub-micrometer 3D motion control plattform.

It is somewhat similar in function to the motorized flexure on the OFM, with totally different mechanics and few extra perks.

We will work on it at some point this year, and would like to partner with interested gosh folk to source the parts.

Miss you all

Hi @naikymen You can count on me. I’ve joined a research group at the Institute of Physics, where this micromanipulator could be useful.

Hi @naikymen!
For a project I have been supervising in Sussex, Marcus has replicated this… don’t know if it might be useful to chat to him about what worked well and what not? Let me know!

Great project, well done.

We did some work on manipulators some time ago. Not so fancy though… Feel free to remix.

Awesome Andre thanks, I’ll message you.

Oh I wish I could take credit, I didn’t design it.

Do you have a link?

I put this on the list of our replicator researchers we hired to replicate open science hardware. I will let you know if they get to it!

Wonderful!

We’ve started sourcing the important bits for a few kits, including the two custom PCBs.

Note that we will be making v4 of the stage, which is only partially documented at the moment. PM me if someone wants to join in.

Expect updates by the end of April.

Abrazos!
