I am thrilled to introduce @jamaica as our new Community Coordinator.
Jamaica Jones has worked in the “open” space for nearly 20 years, contributing to open access, open science, open data, and open-source initiatives. She recently served as Program Coordinator of the NASA TOPS Mission, a role through which she coordinated two White House Office of Science and Technology Policy open science subgroups. Her passion for “open” efforts stems from her commitment to creating connections between people and the resources they need to engage in their world with meaningful agency. In addition to her new role with GOSH, she is also the Community Manager of CKAN (an open-source/ open-data platform) and a PhD Candidate in the School of Computing and Information at the University of Pittsburgh.
In the coming days we will hear more from the coordinator but in the meantime let’s welcome her to the GOSH Community.
