Open Book Call from Distributed Design

The Distributed Design Platform has officially started the open call for abstract submissions to the 2024 Distributed Design Platform publication, Driving Design Volume II.

I thought it could be interesting for GOSHers to author a submission, particularly in the open source hardware field. You might consider submitting as either a project, a review, or a larger article.

The 2024 edition continues to address the drivers of design that have emerged over the past years and those that will be key in designing for the near future. In the context of Distributed Design, we consider drivers like plurality, production and learning ecologies, care, kinship, systems thinking, commoning, and rural practices as essential topics for our community to consider.

Here you can find the call for contributors, along with the entry guidelines which explain the different submission types and the link to send in an abstract (abstracts are due by December 7th).

If you have any questions about Distributed Design, this year’s publication, or the submission process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Sally Bourdon: sally@fablabbcn.org

Best Regards
