Nepal Visa Processing Assistance

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all doing well.

I have a quick question.

Is anyone in the GOSH community currently based in Cairo, Egypt? I’m finalizing my Nepal visa application for the GOSH Gathering and need a bit of assistance with a step that has to be completed in Cairo. If you’re in Cairo (or know someone who is), could you please let me know. I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!

I’m not in Cairo myself, but I hope someone from the community can help you out. You might also want to mention exactly which step of the visa process requires someone to be in Cairo. Sometimes people are happy to assist once they know whether it’s submitting documents, collecting a passport, confirming paperwork, or something else. That extra bit of detail could make it easier for the right person to respond. Wishing you the best of luck with the application, and hopefully everything gets sorted in time for the Gathering. It would be great to see an update here once you’ve found a solution, as it could help others who run into the same situation in the future.

Thanks David Baker for the kind response.

What I need done at the Nepal Embassy in Cairo is for someone there to help me make the payment of ($30) which is the visa processing fee.

I will wire the amount that will cover the visa fee and transportation to and fro the embassy to the person willing to assist.

I hope this gives more clarity.

Are there other embassies in other countries people might be able to pay the fee for you? Or any online means (i’m sure you already found those though if they exist)

Thanks for your concern. I can only pay at the Nepal Embassy in Cairo.

I am currently in talks with someone and hopefully it will work out.

Hi Ebuka,

When do you need this fee paying by? I have a friend from Egypt who is visiting back home at some point soon (I don’t know the dates off the top of my head) who may be able to help.

Hi Ebuka,

I have messaged my friend to see when they are visiting Egypt. I don’t think it is as soon as this week. I just know it is at some point this summer/early autumn as they were telling me about their plans when they visit. I shall message when I have a date if they have decided when yet.
