Hello @everyone! I am Tanmoy from Bangladesh, South Asia. We are planning to develop a camera-radar fusion dataset for ADAS to address a detection gap in existing datasets, particularly for three-wheeler vehicles, which are common in our country but not represented in current open source camera-radar fusion datasets.
Reason behind of this research development. In Bangladesh. we always struggle with data scarcity. Now we, a non-profit regional research community want to develop a dataset based on Bangladesh road scenario. So our students and engineers can explore the perception domain with our own road scenario data. As a prior step, We don’t want to lidar as it’s very costly.
To proceed, we need suggestions on:
- Which combination of sensors (camera, radar, ultrasonic, etc.) would be most effective for data collection?
- What specifications should we consider for the processing unit?
- Any other suggestions for the data collection setup?
