I especially like that they tried hard to remove all proprietary components such as binary blobs from this system.
Since computers are so central to scientific equipment these days, I think this project is relevant. If nothing else, I believe it is a good example for other Open Science Hardware projects!

Looks very promising! I like the idea of “up-cycling” thinkpads and other machines as well… some of my friends and I started collecting parts of old thinkpads to bring them to life.
