Last weekend we volunteered to run a free workshop to teach children about camera trapping. We did some exercises with them about tracking footprints (a la @alex9000 ) and then had them pretend to be animals to test out how the cameras work. And then we let them camp out with the camera traps for the weekend and came back to check on them.
All the kids had fun and learned a ton, and a big reason we were able to do this is because of previous sponsorship from folks like GOSH, Sloan foundation, @hpy who supplied us with the camera traps!
