Join us for the July Community Call with Alex Carrillo (@AlexDeYucatan), a physics engineer working at the intersection of open hardware, environmental justice, and community health in Yucatán, Mexico.

Alex will share two of his projects:

:ear_of_rice: Drone-based Plant Health Monitoring:
Using open-source drones, multispectral imaging, and onboard AI, Alex and his collaborators are building low-cost tools for precision agriculture.

 The Clean Air Club (CALY):
As the founder of the Yucatán Clean Air Club, Alex is also tackling indoor air quality in schools and research centers.

This call will offer a chance to learn about low-cost, high-impact environmental technologies, and the people-first approach behind them. Alex is especially excited to explore future collaborations and ongoing projects that use open hardware for social good, so join us to learn about his work and get involved!
