My name is Jamaica Jones - I am the GOSH Community Coordinator. In this half-time role, I help to, well, coordinate the distributed, global and highly diverse community that makes GOSH what it is. I work in close collaboration with the GOSH Community Council, as well as with Jason (@griffey) and Gabi (@gabioshka) at the Open Science Hardware Foundation (OSHF), GOSH’s fiscal sponsor.
I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Pittsburgh was the home of the US steel industry until about the time I showed up. It’s also famed for its many bridges, odd dialect, and winding, steep roads.
Hello, I’m Remi RAFAEL, I’m a French living in Hong Kong where i came for a postdoc.
I have a background in mechanical design and a PHD in microelectronics. I work on developing hybrid manufacturing techniques. My last projects were the development of an hybrid printer for 3D electronic circuits using a thermoplastic/copper composite locally sintered by laser, then the development of micro 3D electrodes based on two photon polymerization followed by selective electroless gold plating for neural probe fabrication.
I started to follow GOSH because open source designs are always a great source of inspiration to develop new projects and beceause i think i have some to share too.
Hi, I’m Seckin, a PhD student of economics and management. Currently, I live in Trento, Italy where we had an EU horizon project about open source in a broader sense, and I continued to research on open hardware after the project ended.
I’m curious about the factors affecting the adoption of a new technology or processes related to new product development. Since I’m very keen on “user innovation communities” (as worded in my field of research), I am genuinely interested in interactions in open hardware communities. Currently, some of my articles are under review in some academic journals and as soon as they are published (hopefully) I will share them here for anyone who is interested.
