I received an inquiry from a professor in the Departamento de Neurofisiologia Celular y Molecular at Uruguay’s Instituto de Investigaciones Biologicas Clemente Estable, inviting GOSHers to serve as virtual guest lecturers in an introductory Open Science course he is looking to launch later this year.
He is specifically looking for lecturers who can speak on open science hardware and broader open science advocacy.
If you are interested, or if you know someone who might be, please let me know. I would be happy to make the necessary connections.
Always happy to share knowledge from a socio-legal and feminist perspective on why we need open science (data and AI) to ensure the systems we are developing, deploying and using don’t contribute and do help adress and provide alternatives to otherwise systemic practices of inequality, bias and discrimination against non-western women and minority communities.
Best
IMPORTANT I have a new email, please use this for futures communications, Thanks !

@Freyja, thank you! I will make a connection via email.
@adrianMolecule, thank you as well! Would you be willing to share your email address with me? The person making the inquiry did so via email, and does not appear to be on the Forum. Thanks again!
The person who reached out to me did not share any requirements at all, save for the ability to speak to open science hardware and/or open science advocacy. If you are interested, I am happy to put you in touch - all I would need is a good email address for you (which you are welcome to DM).
