Hi GOSH friends!
Three days, dozens of sessions, a lot of solder smoke, and many cups of tea (some of them High Tea). GOSH 2026 in Kathmandu (Oct 4–6) was something special, and now everyone can explore it.
We’ve updated the program page with session summaries written from the community’s own notes. Just hover over a session (or tap “Session summary”) to see what people heard, made, tried and documented.
Start here: Unconference & Workshop Sessions, Day 1
Some of what you’ll find:
- Homemade solar cells, LED earrings, and a macro lens for your phone
- From idea to mass production, prototype manufacturing, your first PCB, and an intro to FreeCAD
- Water testing, disaster shelter construction, and soil health kits
- Sovereign AI, going beyond Arduino (ESP, FPGA, HDL), and vibe coding with Wio Terminals
- Open hardware for different abilities, plus maker spaces and OScH for schools
And you can explore the program day by day to find the rest the unconference sessions, workshops, and:
- Keynotes, community talks, recaps, and the GOSH Roadmap discussion: where we’ve been in the last decade and where we’re going next; and
- Karkhana sessions: school visits, a making-kits factory, and climate brainstorming
Please explore the program and the summaries. Many sessions also link to extended abstracts and Zenodo records, so you can go as deep as you like.
Were you there? Help us fill in the gaps! If you spot something missing, have photos or notes to share, or just want to say what stuck with you, reply in this thread.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined, facilitated, documented, presented, hosted, joined remotely, and made Kathmandu feel like home.
See you in the summaries and at the next gathering!
