Those of you who receive the GOSH Newsletter might already be aware that FOSS Backstage is coming up in Berlin next March. I’m happy to share that they are now accepting session proposals, and the deadline is coming up quickly!
FOSS Backstage takes place in Berlin and online on 2–3 March 2027. The conference focuses on the non-coding side of open source: the people, practices, and structures that help projects succeed.
The organizers are looking for sessions that share practical experience, challenge established thinking, or open up discussions about Free and Open Source Software. Formats include talks (30 minutes), workshops (60 minutes), panels (40 minutes), and “Off Stage” sessions. Remote sessions are possible, first-time speakers are explicitly welcome - all submissions undergo blind review.
Proposals are due 8 November 2026 at 23:59 CET.
If you’re interested in attending, Early Bird tickets are available until 16 November 2026 at 23:59 CET.
