These folks want to give out money for pro-social open source things! There’s a bit of a high “nerd filter” as just to apply you have to submit some kind of .json manifest. but if you get past that maybe your chances are high!?

I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but
Currently, our focus is on supporting existing, widely used, and impactful projects to specifically contribute to their sustainability. Very new projects or projects with minimal usage are not considered for the time being.
It also seems to be focused on software, not hardware?
That said, I love the idea of a standardised funding.json that anyone can put in their repo to make their funding needs needs clear.
