Hi All! I am happy to share the news that the 2nd Annual European Open Source Awards Ceremony, organized by the European Open Source Academy (EOSA), is open for nominations.
EOSA’s Johan Linåker reached out to OSHF in an effort to ensure that open source hardware is thoroughly represented in this year’s pool of nominees. He’s invited the community to consider nominating those you think are suitable candidates.
This year introduces the flagship Prize for Excellence in Open Source, which recognizes long-term, high-impact achievements by Europeans whose work has advanced open source technology globally, alongside Special Recognitions in categories such as Business and Impact, Advocacy and Awareness, Skills and Education, and Community Impact.
Nominations are open from 6 October to 2 November 2025, welcoming submissions from anyone in the open source community, with eligibility extending to those with meaningful European connections through citizenship, residency, or impact. Winners will be celebrated for their leadership, creativity, and dedication in enhancing European open source collaboration and innovation.
