Sé que nuestra atención está centrada en el Encuentro en este momento, pero también hay bastante movimiento en todo el ecosistema de GOSH. Nuestros Embajadores han puesto rápidamente en marcha sus proyectos y ya se celebró el primer evento liderado por una de nuestras Embajadoras.
A principios de este mes, @AlejandraHidalgo recibió a más de 100 participantes en la primera sesión de su serie de seminarios web La Gran Odisea hacia la Ciencia Abierta y el Hardware Científico Abierto, en Panamá. La serie utiliza La Odisea de Homero como marco para explorar la ciencia abierta y el hardware científico abierto, con paradas dedicadas a temas que van desde la documentación y la reproducibilidad hasta la importancia de construir comunidad. Esta cohorte de Embajadores estará trabajando durante los próximos diez meses, durante los cuales organizarán actividades de divulgación, talleres, conversaciones y otras iniciativas en Canadá, Uruguay, Panamá, Nigeria y Ghana. Varios de ellos están interesados en conectarse con otros integrantes de GOSH que quieran participar como ponentes, colaboradores o contribuyentes. Hey all,
I know our attention is focused on the Gathering right now, however there’s actually quite a bit cooking across the GOSH ecosystem these days. Our Ambassadors have made quick work of their projects, and we already have one Ambassador-led event on the books!
Earlier this month, @AlejandraHidalgo welcomed more than 100 participants to the first session of her Great Odyssey Towards Open Science and Scientific Hardware webinar series in Panama. The series is structured around Homer’s The Odyssey as a framework for exploring Open Science and open science hardware, with stops focused on everything from documentation and reproducibility, to the importance of community building. This Ambassador cohort will be at work for the next ten months, during which time they’ll be organizing outreach, workshops, conversations, and other activities in Canada, Uruguay, Panama, Nigeria, and Ghana. Several of them are interested in connecting with other GOSHers as presenters, collaborators, or contributors.
