Call for Steering Committee Members for Reclone Symposium on 12 April 2023

Hi All!

Reclone.org is a network of scientists from across the world seeking to support each other in accessing reagents for research and diagnostics, through sharing and partnership. Largely through open source DNA sharing and protocols!

The next Reclone Symposium will be on the 12 April 2023 with a tentative theme of “how to build communities to increase global access to biotechnologies”.

If anyone would be willing to join the steering committee to plan the event, select speakers and host some great discussions on the day, get in touch here or with Yan Kay via ykh26@cam.ac.uk if you could commit approx an hour a week to make this a great event!

We’ve previously had 60-120 attendees and are hoping to replicate or better that this time, it would be great to bridge with the GOSH community on this :smiley:, we already have a great set of overlapping members.

Hey Jenny!

I’d love to be a part of the Steering Committee for the Reclone Symposium on the 12th of April. I’ve contacted Yan Kay, thought I would also post my interest here too. The theme looks pretty good and hopefully the event is successful! All work can be done virtually right?

Yes, all work is virtual and the event is fully virtual :slight_smile:, I’m sure Yan Kay will be in touch soon!
We might bump the symposium date back a few weeks due to some upcoming deadlines and commitments that crept up on us a bit but all else will proceed as planned!
