Dear GOSH Community,
I am excited to share a quick update with you regarding the location of the next Gathering!
The Gathering Working Group has spent the last several weeks working together to select the host for the next Gathering. After a diligent and intentional review process, in which we spoke with potential hosts from 6 countries, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with Karkhana Samuha to host the next Gathering in Kathmandu, Nepal, between October 4 & 6!
Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in hosting the next event! We look forward to considering these locations again in future rounds. Two years ago, we identified FabLab Bali as a potential host however in the intervening years, some circumstances changed and, ultimately, we based our selection on a list of essential criteria, including the ease of acquiring visas, community safety, and the level of involvement from host communities.
We will be sharing more information - including about registration and travel - in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned!
