As of August 2020, the GOSH Governance Working Group has begun putting together a basic governance structure for the community, so a longer-seated governance working group can put the rest in place.

This is a forum category for the GOSH Governance Working Group (GWG) and the GOSH community to communicate/interact specifically on ideas and decisions regarding governance. The WG task is to put together the basic governance structure for the GOSH community (something like a minimum viable product or MVP) so a longer-seated governance working group can expand and elaborate on the governance structure. This Governance forum category is viewable and postable by everyone so we invite you to share anything you think is relevant regarding the governance of this community. We will also use this category to request the participation of community members on these issues.

There is another category, GOSH Governance Working Group, that is viewable by everyone but only postable by WG members.
- What should topics in this Community Governance category generally contain?
We welcome topics that relate to Community Governance. For example, governance values, models, tools.
Please note that everyone using the forum must follow the code of conduct.
- Do we need this category? Can we merge with another category, or subcategory?
We need this category in order to communicate and document interactions between this first GWG and the wider GOSH community. The GOSH Governance Working Group category is only postable by the working group members so they can communicate with each other and document processes in a way that is easily followed and understandable by themselves and the wider GOSH community.
