The academia channel was formed to carry on the discussions that were started at the Open Hardware from Academia Workshop (February 2020).
This category is for topics which are specific to academia. For example:
- Funding calls that are only available to academics.
- Discussing how to influence university policy, or government policy for academic research.
- Getting academic recognition for OSH activities
As of March 2020, after the First International Open Design and Open Source Hardware Product Development Workshop in Grenoble, France, this community will also be dedicated to discussing topics related to open design and open source hardware development research, co-creating and co-developing projects and collaborating.
