pixel started his VJ career in 2002 and presented his works on 4 continents. Besides audiovisual performances, he develops multimedia artworks that question the relations between people and digital technologies, using open and/or pervasive technologies where the audience assumes authorship. He was artist-in-residence in places in Brazil, Netherlands, Spain, UK, and Colombia. Between his recent projects are Affective Creatures, that simulates human relationships using mathematical models, and Jandig, where artists, developers, curators, and audience mix their roles exhibitions in augmented reality. pixel is the coordinator of Rede InfoAmazonia (awarded at Google Impact Challenge Brazil 2014), co-founder of Garoa Hacker Clube (the first hackerspace in Brazil) and director of memeLab.
