Hello GOSHers,
My name is Lawrence Nderu a researcher and a lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)- Kenya in the department of Computer Science. I am very exited to be attending the gathering of Open Hardware enthusiasts for the first time. I am working on simple projects in wearable healthcare devices, such as sensors for mosquito detection and also pneumonia in babies. I am also working on use of simple drones in agriculture in rural areas in Kenya.

I look forward to networking and collaborating with members on existing and new projects. I also want to create connections and networks with people who are interested in moving forward the philosophy of Open Hardware/Open Science into especially marginalized areas, especially in Africa.
