I am an ecologist specializing in broad-spectrum biodiversity monitoring. I take a systems approach to understanding the world around me, with a strong belief in the importance of field-based natural history informing ecological understanding and conservation. My passion for fieldwork has taken me around the world, studying a variety of systems and organisms, from the tropics to the arctic. Part of my work is identifying key areas for innovation in biodiversity monitoring. With biodiversity loss occurring at apocalyptic rates there’s no time for these tools to be anything other than open source.
