just wondering if we should bring things like breathing masks for people to give their relatives in Beijing or if that might be considered insulting… what would be appreciated, for local contacts, hosts?? (I still hope for some translation help for my short flyer from my association AGiR! too - any ideas??)
I like to bring chocolate (from Germany) and local snacks. Be careful because of customs but sweets are usually fine. Local things like picture books from your home town something like “London in Pictures” are well revived. Small items like a model Eifel Tower are good too. The people you give the gift to often put it away still wrapped and open it at home with their families, that is the traditional way (AFAIK).
