Second Workshop on Open Design and Open Source Hardware Development

Forwarding on behalf of the organisers, some of whom I’ve worked with.

NOTE: This is an in-person event to be held in Grenoble, France.

On October 21st 2022 , we are organizing for the second time in Grenoble an international workshop on Open Source Hardware Development. We would like to create a forum for discussion and debate fueled by presentations of case studies, experiences or applied research results. We also invite posters, presenting open-source initiatives or results.

Our aim is to bring together practitioners, companies and academics to discuss three main themes around OSH:

  • Considering OSH as an opportunity to address sustainability issues ,
  • What it means to lead an OSH community ,
  • Reflecting on the business model integrating openness aspect.

Three roundtables will be supported by oral presentations of case studies to nourish the exchanges with participants.

As part of this initiative, we also call for volunteers who wish to present case studies, in the form of posters (A0 - 841x1190 mm) that will be presented during break sessions (deadline for submission: September 30th 2022).

Registration is free-of-chrage sponsored by the OPENNEXT project.

Registration and information can be found here: https://open-design2.sciencesconf.org

We encourage you to circulate the invitation among interested groups in your network.

Hope to see you in Grenoble!

Best regards,
