Discourse is very feature rich, so you have a lot of options when it comes to notifications. If you want to received all messages and use it as a mailing list, just enable ‘mailing list mode’ in your preferences and select ‘send me an email for every new post’ - see screen shot below!
To change preferences, click on your avatar in the corner and the little gear on the far right and scroll down the list of settings.
You can also choose less frequent emails or an activity summary instead, if you prefer.
