Design of a free study management software for Africa universities

Dear GOSH friends, I would like to tell you about a project initiated by the team SOHA (Association for the Promotion of Open Science in Africa and Haiti) of Benin to design a free software for managing studies in universities of Africa.
The software will be a web application to be developed in PHP and will consist of three modules: an enrollment module, a note management module and finally a management module of attestations.a study that all reports have been published have allowed to make an inventory of fixtures and to identify the problems related to the management of the inscriptions, the notes and the delivery of the diplomas.
We are in the programming phase and we need contributors for the realization of this tools of first necessity. In addition we will like initiated a workshop in order to set up the first module during our next meeting. The interested ones can write to us to tkakafid@gmail.com for further discussion. The GitHub directory of the project is also at https://github.com/koutogui/PROJET_BEN_SOHA-.git

@TOKO : The objectives seem very similar to Moodle.
I wonder why would you want to build everything from scratch when you can reuse much of the work done there and learn from the experiences of the Moodle community.

Plus its successfully used by numerous educational universities all over the world

You have rainson @spMohanty! Moodle is a solution for online courses. What we want to design is software for the management of an entire university.

We do not want to start from scratch! We have researched the free software already existing in order to be based on that to propose the solution adapted to the reality of the university of Africa.
so we chose Opensis that we are studying right now. Your suggestions are welcome @spMohanty!
