Chi.bio: open-source robotic platform for experimental automation in biological science research and education

Just came across this nice looking open-source robotics platform in PLOS Biology. It features a 30mL bio-reactor with temperature control, automated mixing, support for up to 4 pumps, and measurement of optical density and fluorescence. It is controlled by a Beaglebone Black and features a Python backend and HTML/Javascript user interface.

Instructions to build your own are available on the project’s website, but you can also buy pre-built systems from LabMaker (which has been previously mentioned on the forum).
